| Description | Group portrait of the Williamsburg Drum Corps, about 1904. But for this photograph, the existence of this local youth organization would be unknown today. The photograph is 6.25 x 8 inches mounted on a 10 x 10.4 inch board. Written on the face of the board in an unknown hand are the following notes: 'Taken about 1904. First Row: Elwyn Hyde/ Second Row (Left to Right): Wesley Ames/ George Kelly/ Casper Waldemire/ Philip Graves/ Back Row: Edward Hyde/ Arthur Graves'. This list is four names short of the number of boys in the picture. |
