DescriptionBuilt by William Beecher in 1828 and bought by R H Cole in 1862, this elegant residence at 185 Main Street, Southbridge is shown with two ladies posing in front. Flanked by trees on either side and a low fence interspersed by pillars, there is a solid granite pier at each side of the driveway, leading to the house. The clapboard house has two chimney stacks. A south and east view of the house is shown. The windows are framed by shutters. A sidewalk and a grass verge separates the property from the roadway.
