| Description | George Washington Houghton (b. 1821-04-15) married Eliza Sparhawk (Parker) Houghton on 1858-11-13. George was the son of Peabody Houghton and Betsey (Reed) Houghton (m. 1816-12-16). George and Eliza had three children: Herbert Parker Houghton (b. 1860-02-18) who married the Princeton Upper School teacher, Harriet Elizabeth Beaman on 1903-10-15; Mary Eliza Houghton (b. 1862-08-14) and Alice Lydia Houghton (b. 1864-08-19). They lived and worked on the Houghton Farm on Houghton Road, Princeton, Massachusetts. These portraits are part of a miniature leather-bound family album. |
