| Description | David Hoyt Gregory (b. 1813-02-02) was employed in the Blake & Allen Store until he succeeded to the business in 1941. He married Mary Adams Howe on 1841-11-27. He was the proprietor of D. H. Gregory & Co., a general merchandise store, from 1941 until his death on 1890-01-21. He served Princeton as Town Clerk (36 years), Justice of the Peace (33 years), Postmaster (1866-1885) and Town Treasurer (1857-1858). The Gregory Store building still exists at the intersection of Routes 31 and 62 on the southeastern portion of Princeton's Town Common. |
