| Description | View of the Mountain House in Princeton, Massachusetts. taken from the south and showing the summit of Mount Wachusett. The staff quarters which also included a bowling alley and a tea room are shown across the street from the main hotel. The Mountain House opened around 1860 and by 1880 held up to a hundred guests. The main building was destroyed by a fire on July 11, 1914. |
