| Description | View of the west side of 3-story carriage manufacturing building, L.E. Coolidge Carriage Manufactory, with carriage repository adjacent and with Reservoir House Hotel to the far right. Location is on Wood Street in the Woodville section of Hopkinton looking eastward. The body of water is currently, in 2011, part of Lake Whitehall in Hopkinton, while in the 1890's it was one of several ponds. The business was a manufacturer and dealer in Hacks, cabriolets, buggies, sleighs, whips, horses etc., and Mr. Coolidge was also the proprietor of the Reservoir House and Postmaster at Woodville. The business began in 1881, the Reservoir Hotel burned in 1909. |
